It seems the earliest Chinese dynasties developed their trades more than other civilizations we have learned about. They set up systems that lasted for hundreds of years, as the Zhou dynasty set up a lower level government with the nobles taking control of their people. In America today we have state and city leaders that keep in touch with the people, as nobles did in the Zhou dynasty.

The ealy Chinese dynasties fell apart for many different reasons. Their mistakes may be faults of our own society today and could affect the amount of time our society survives. Problems like alcoholism and excessive violence could ultimately lead to our society's downfall.

Initially, the idea of a large central government was adapted in China in several of its dynasties, most notably the Tang. It was this governmental structure that lent itself to Tai Cong’s ability to maintain control of his enormous empire while continuing to expand it. The majority of today’s first-world governments have been established on the foundation of a strong central government (although there are many variations to this principle) and we can learn from the mistakes of the Chinese system and many of the events, which constitute the decline of Chinese many dynasties. In addition, the modern world, especially modern China and perhaps India, can benefit greatly from the knowledge of China’s past and learn from its numerous mistakes. One such mistake, which is an escalating and ever-important problem in the two populous nations, lies within the discrepancy between the rich and the poor. In the Tang dynasty, China’s cities flourished and attracted vast amounts of trade (which can be seen today as well), but its economy today and then masks the emaciation of poverty. We must learn from the mistakes of past generations and correct them so as to benefit from these mistakes and make sure that they never happen again.
